''The author states that there are many medical practitioners in our villages who are not conversant with the structure and functions of the different organs of the body, the diseases of the various regions and systems, their symptomatology and diagnosis; nor are they conversant with the clinical features for ascertaining which ailments are remediable by observance of the natural laws of health which are curable by medicinal means and which require surgical treatment. The enlightenment of such practitioners on these topics seems to be the main object of the author in writing this book''.
